About
Founded in 1989, the Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship supports, researches and promotes entrepreneurship with a special focus on family, veteran and urban businesses. Among our many programs are the Family Business Alliance, the national Veterans Launching Ventures (VLV) entrepreneurship course, Entrepreneur Zones and student case competitions. The Family Business Alliance recognizes the important role family businesses play in strengthening the New Jersey economy. We guide entrepreneurs through complex issues to enhance the success of their business and the transfer of ownership to the next generation. The VLV program features a team of experienced faculty, guest speakers and successful volunteer entrepreneur consultants who work with the participants, providing an interactive and informative experience. Veterans are matched with successful entrepreneurs who guide them through building a business plan and growing their business. We are working with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) on designing Entrepreneur Zones to increase the success of entrepreneurs in economically challenged communities. Rothman also writes business articles, hosts a streamed TV Show, leads informational webinars and coordinates student case competitions. In addition, we are expanding our executive education programs to provide high quality training and certification programs for business leaders throughout New Jersey.
