
Assembler/Machinist
Job Description
Scope: Assembler/Machinist for custom machinery manufacturing company. Must be able to work from blueprints and verbal instructions, operate basic shop tools and machines. Other machining skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:
- ‪Assemble custom machines to the highest possible standard with minimal supervision.
- Performs duties by verbal or written instructions, including blueprints.
- Crimps, screws, press fits, or performs similar operations to fasten parts together.
- Test assembled equipment to meet customer requirements.
- Pick parts for assembly.
- Work with Engineering Department to ensure that all part lists are accurate.
- Maintains acceptable levels of production.
- Assists other associates when needed.
- Practices good safety and housekeeping procedures and adheres to all established policies and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned
‪Abilities/Skills Required:
- Good communication skills and ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
- ‪Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work over equipment for long periods of time.
- Ability to work with and handle very small parts .
- Skill to work with hand tools and possibly run manual and CNC machines.
- Skill to learn and understand dimensions on drawings.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- ‪Basic math and measuring skills.
- Must be a good team player and be able to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
Experience: Should have at least 5-7 year of continuous experience in the Machinist trade.
