Duties:
The Crisis Specialist interviews consumers, completes assessment, treatment plans, and crisis intervention and determines appropriate level of care. Provides referrals as needed. Contact with consumers in the community as required. Answers a 24 hour crisis hotline. Expected to report for work in inclement weather. Additional tasks will be added at Director’s discretion.
Legacy operates the State-designated Screening and Crisis Intervention Program for Burlington County, providing evaluations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis or posing a danger to self, others or property. We make it our priority to screen and triage individuals in crisis within community settings as opposed to a hospital setting.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a mental health related field with two years’ experience in the field or a Master’s Degree in a mental health related field, no experience required but it is preferred.
Your driver's license must be in good standing, with no recent suspensions or violations of careless/reckless driving or excessive speeding of more than 10 MPH, and no more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years.
