
Direct Support Professional
Legacy has several group homes for adolescents which are in a community setting. We are looking for direct support professionals to make a positive difference with the Consumers in these programs. If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference and change lives for the better, then this job could be for you! On a daily basis, you can expect to:
- Relate with adolescents, understand what they are going through in their lives and build rapport
- Show adolescents that they can change their lives on their own by giving them direction
- Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to keep adolescents on the right track
- Assist in teaching life skills, such as cooking, laundry and cleaning
- Get moving and go outside to play basketball, tennis, hiking, bean bag toss and other activities
- Lead by example and have a positive mindset
Full time and part time positions are available.
- 3.2 weeks of PTO in first year

What do you need?
This position requires either a High School Diploma or equivalent, or a Bachelor's Degree. Experience working with adolescents is preferred but not required. You must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
Legacy will train you on CPR, First Aid, Nurtured Heart, Safe Crisis Management and Ukeru.
