General Summary  

This position will help provide insight into volume and trade drivers such as base vs. incremental volume assumptions and the overall impact on profitability.  Primary responsibilities include financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, trade management, and overall customer P&L management. 

This role is to support the Company’s initiative to drive profitable, sustainable growth and will be a strong value-added business partner across various functions including to support the division forecast for volume and customer investment in support of the regular monthly rhythms.  This position will help provide insight into volume and the overall impact on profitability as well as support the monthly R&O process.  The role provides regular business process and analysis support for BU finance; this can include analyses of net sales and EBIT bridges as well as new product development P&Ls/opportunities. 

Principal Accountabilities 

  • Validate project savings (enablers, network ops, zero loss, etc.), both business case development (pre-project) and actuals tracking vs. forecast (post-project) 

  • Inputs to enablers ideation; “size of prize” support (would be great to have someone with the ambition to find opportunities in addition to reporting) 

  • Define and govern enablers vs. ESP categories, valuation process, etc. 

  • Assist in development of operational excellence playbook with business partner 

  • Monthly variance reporting – to prior proj, forecast, and PY 

  • Provide actionable insights to the business partners and leadership  

  • Role also provides strategic financial thought leadership on large projects across enterprise. 

  • Utilize information across the Finance COE to analyze and recommend strategic actions necessary to drive impact. 

  • Through analysis of business results, identify and recommend appropriate courses of action to mitigate risk or improve performance.  Provide insight and analysis into drivers of change for key metrics (e.g. gross sales, net sales, trade and profitability) versus prior year and plan/projection by customer and product.  

  • Accounting & Control:  Maintain and continually improve strong internal controls that ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded always.  This includes month end reporting, analysis of results and drivers of change bridges. 

  • Drive Continuous Improvement & Problem Identification: Identify and recommend appropriate courses of action improve processes.  

  • Advance dashboards and data visualization reporting 

  • Ad Hoc/Special Projects as needed 

Job Complexity  

  • Must have a strong understanding of Financial Statements, financial consolidation process and be able to handle tight deadlines with high accuracy 

  • Position requires a strong analytical mindset; strong collaboration skills and excellent problem solving capabilities 

  • Position is required to interact with all levels of management from CFO to divisional financial leads and be able to interpret and communicate financial results as needed 

  • Must be flexible, organized and capable of performing multiple tasks; comfortable working under strict deadlines; ability to be clear on priorities and to shift between tasks on short notice 

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate, complete and timely recording of financial transactions resulting from specific Sales-initiated activities per CSC standards and best practices. 

  • Communicate effectively cross functionally and within finance.  

  • Design and implement process and systems enhancements to drive efficiencies and enhance visibility and controls. 

Job Specifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance 

  • 6+ years finance experience: preference with CPG related with some Brand/Sales experience 

  • Strong analytical and technical skills, specifically in MS Excel  

  • Strong knowledge of SAP, EPM, Envision, (Data Mining Sources) preferred 

  • Ability to identify, design and implement financial reporting & analysis process improvements 

  • Excellent business partner and thought leader with superior analytical abilities 

  • Ability to develop an overall monthly/quarterly consolidated closing/reporting plan, coupled with the tactical skills to implement the plan 

  • Experience in building a strong, business-focused team with a bias for action 

  • Strong business acumen; understanding of Campbell’s various business models preferred 

  • Executive presence, exudes calm confidence and control under pressure 

  • Ensures credible, actionable, high impact recommendations 


Working Conditions 

  • This position will work in a company headquarter (Camden, NJ) 3 days a week 

  • Travel as needed (10-15%) to company meetings, company training, customer meetings, and other regions as business needs demand  


Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $85,900.00 - $158,900.00.

An individual’s base pay depends on a number of factors, such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation, such as a performance-based bonus and other short- and long-term incentives. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401(k), and wellness benefits beginning on one’s first day of employment.
