Marketing Manager

The Morey Organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Marketing Manager. This team member develops, coordinates, and directs Morey's Piers and Resorts marketing strategies. This role is vital in increasing awareness and developing an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs. Additionally, the Marketing Manager oversees content presented on websites, blogs, social media, etc., creating, editing, posting, updating, and occasionally cleaning up outdated content.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for building and enhancing a favorable image of our company with employees, potential candidates, current and potential guests, influencers, and the public while keeping information up to date, informative, and appealing.


What you get to do:

  • Assist in developing comprehensive marketing and Public Relations strategies.
  • Support sales and operational teams with up-to-date and aligned marketing materials.
  • Plan, create and oversee the design, content, and production of all marketing materials.
  • Media Planning and execution.
  • Manage all marketing channels, including print, traditional and Digital media (website, social media pages, email campaigns, and responses).
  • Monitor, track, and document campaign results; analyze data/returns/customer response.
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Interface with vendors and evaluate partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities.
  • Research, coordinate, and schedule any film, photography, or media productions.
  • Work in a team environment and consistently demonstrate a positive and professional demeanor.

 What it takes to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of previous experience as a marketing manager, product manager, strategist, sales manager, or related marketing experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic environment and proactively professionally respond to issues, especially under pressure.
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work effectively with various groups, including park leadership, agencies, media, and guests.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various individuals and groups.
  • Solid understanding of effective marketing strategies, materials, and channels.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and execution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings as needed.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews.
  • Event planning/management experience.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or similar software (graphic design, editing, videography, and photography)
  • Photography or Videography Skills.
  • Salesforce Marketing & Sales Cloud.

The Details:

  • Full-time benefitted year round position located in Wildwood, NJ.
  • Schedule is approximately 40 hrs./week during the off-season and 40+ hrs./week during the peak season.
  • Team members must be willing to works some weekend and evening hours during peak weeks or events; but a generous time off program helps to balance this!
