
Project SARAH Case Manager & Client Support
Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for fielding telephone and in person service inquiries and requests, entering the information into the database, and provide case management to clients of Project SARAH Domestic Violence Program. Support staff for Project SARAH, outreach, and educational programming.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for providing identified individuals and families in Project SARAH with phone and in-person assistance regarding resources and meeting basic human needs
- Provide brief direct service such as referrals for services outside of the realm of JFCS programs
- Assess clients’ financial situation and make appropriate referrals and ensure entitlements
- Share information regularly with supervisor and other appropriate staff members who are responsible for client care
- Coordinate with other community providers and participate in case conferences both intra and inter-agency as required for the clients’ benefit
- Help develop agency policies and procedures regarding Domestic Violence programs and protocols.
- Participate in continuing education to develop domestic violence intervention skills
- Carry out case management responsibilities for assigned clients and intensive case management for identified clients
- Maintenance of resource database for Counseling Department and Project SARAH referrals.
- Develop programming and outreach for Project SARAH
- Oversee and case manager for Charlotte’s Place
- Work with SARAH task force
- Assist in Grants and fundraising
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
- Ability to work with culturally-diverse groups
- Familiar with Federal/State Entitlement programs
- Knowledge of Jewish culture
- Ability to dynamically present to students 8th-12th grades
- Strong Computer Skills
- Certified in 40 hr DV training preferred
- Certified in 40 hr Rape Care program preferred
