
State/Regional Account Manager
Title of position: State/Regional Account Manager
Position type: Full-Time
Reports to: VP, Business Development
Description of responsibilities:
• Conducts outside sales activities to grow client base, sales and new business objectives by:
Developing a formal Account Plan to establish Focus of Efforts, Critical Success Factors and Critical Vulnerabilities; this includes the development/implementation of formal call plans to achieve sales and new business objectives.
Executing call plans by engaging Decision Makers; ensures frequent/continuous engagements with customer base and develops/sustains favorable customer relationship management.
• Owns opportunities throughout the full life cycle of the sales process; identify, develop, pursue, capture, and win new business
• Maintains competitive knowledge of assigned market space
• Maintains current, accurate and complete records of opportunities and customers in Salesforce.
• As part of a sales approach tool kit, uses search engines to aid in prospecting/monitoring opportunities to include, but not limited to, Sam.gov, GovWin, State/State Agency-specific sites, etc.
• Participates in recurring Step Reviews and Pipeline Reviews
• Provides Weekly/Monthly Activity Reports, and sales opportunity reports/forecasts as required
• Identifies, plans and attends events to promote Bestwork’s capabilities to capture business opportunities
• Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve any sales/business development issues
• Performs other duties as assigned
Required experience:
• 7+ years of direct sales experience in prospecting, qualifying, capturing new business and growing sales
• Sales/Business Development experience with Federal and/or State Agencies a plus
• Experience with the AbilityOne Program and Federal acquisition regulations/policies a plus
• Salesforce user a plus
• e-Commerce sales experience a plus
• Basic MS Office Suite skills a must
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education:
• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor degree preferred
Physical Requirement:
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to drive long distances (3-5hrs)
