BCA Insurance Group Launches Risk Management Department

Member Announcements

BCA Insurance Group, a property/casualty insurance and surety agent and broker serving the construction industry among others, announces it has created a new department to help its diverse client base manage and mitigate business risks. BCA Risk Management will be led by Monica Siciliano, a veteran of the human resources and construction sectors.

Efficient and thoughtful risk management can help organizations reduce a variety of costs that go beyond insurance premiums. Expenses stemming from lack of training, poor safety conditions, legal liability, and down time can seriously impact a company’s bottom line. BCA’s new service offering will use a variety of tools to help clients assess their risks, remediate them if needed, and ensure a safe work environment on the job site or in the office moving forward. BCA Risk Management can also help them maintain OSHA compliance.

In order for companies to be attractive to insurers, we need to get a clear understanding of their operation, and their ‘business story,’” said Lawrence D. Cohen notes that BCA has seen great demand for risk management services from clients in a variety of sectors, including construction, hospitality, entertainment and manufacturing. They can customize safety programs that cover such areas as:

  • Safe practices and safety manual
  • Employee communications and safety committee planning
  • Hazard identification, assessment, prevention and controls
  • Emergency response plans
  • Video monitoring and reporting systems

Ms. Siciliano will serve as Director of Risk Management. She has nearly 30 years of experience providing services to small businesses through large enterprises in a wide range of industries. Her risk management credentials include corporate risk manager, OSHA 30 General Industry, OSHA 30 Construction, ISO 14001,and PEC Safeland.
