“Small businesses are the heart of New Jersey’s economy; we are home to nearly one million small businesses that employ nearly 1.9 million workers,” said New Jersey Secretary of State Tahesha Way. “They are essential to the economic vitality of the state and identifying resources to ensure their continued success helps ensures New Jersey’s economic future.”
“The NJBAC has hosted these quarterly, regional events statewide over the last 12 years,” notes Melanie Willoughby, NJBAC’s executive director. “After a two-year hiatus, we want to be sure entrepreneurs are aware of the great resources statewide that are available to help them achieve their business goals.”
State agencies attending include: The New Jersey Economic Development Authority; the Department of Treasury; Department of Labor & Workforce Development, Board of Public Utilities and the State Library. Small Business Development Centers and chambers will also have resource tables.
The event will be open to start-ups and existing businesses and owners will have time to connect and network one-on-one with agencies and learn about topics ranging from financing and contracting or certification to hiring and energy rebates.
