LaWana's career has provided her with a wealth experience in creating more inclusive communities. As a former political candidate, she has seen the importance of diversity. Her travels as a Flight Attendant paired with her studies abroad (Ghana, Cuba, and Costa Rica) provided her with advanced cultural knowledge. Currently she works as an Adjunct Professor.  She has a B.A. in English, an MBA. in Marketing, and Graduate Certificates in African American Literature and Diversity & Inclusion, hence LaWana is well-resourced. She is also the CEO of Cultural Humility Consulting, LLC.
