On May 14, Governor Murphy announced the Jersey Shore will be open effective on May 22nd. Opening the Shore was among the suggestions made in CCSNJ’s Economic Reopening and Recovery Plan for South Jersey.

At all public and private beaches, the following social distancing guidelines will be in place:
  • Capacity limitations
  • Six feet demarcations in certain areas
  • No special events
  • Sanitization requirements
  • Playgrounds, rides, arcades, games, water fountains, picinic areas and water play equipment will remain closed. drive-through events such as movie theaters, church services, and farms.
