Personal-care Facilities Permitted to Reopen Today

COVID-19 Legislative Updates Legislative Updates
Governor Murphy previously signed Executive Order 154, which permits additional businesses to reopen today, June 22, including:
  • Salons and barber shops
  • Nail salons
  • Recreational and municipal pools
  • Massage parlors
  • Tanning salons
  • Braiding shops
  • Electrology facilities/medical spas that perform elective and cosmetic medical procedures
  • Number of individuals allowed at an outdoor gathering expected to be raised to 250 (currently 100)

Although listed as industries allowed to open in Stage Two, the Administration has yet to provide guidance on gyms/indoor fitness centers and museums, as well as other government services.

Please note that all of the above must occur in accordance with proper social distancing restrictions, face coverings, proper sanitization and other required health precautions as indicated by the state.

We want to hear from you! Are we moving fast enough, or too fast? Is your business open, and if not why not? What do you think the state’s next step should be to reopen the economy?
