On February 18, the Sherrill-Caldwell transition Action Teams released their final reports, including recommendations to the administration. The Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) President and CEO Christina Renna served on the Transition's Interdisciplinary Task Force. The Transition Teams were organized into the top priorities of the incoming administration, including: Making Energy More Affordable and Reliable Saving You Time and Money: Getting Government to Work for New Jerseyans Kids Mental Health and Online Safety Lowering Housing Costs and Expanding Homeownership Transportation and Infrastructure Innovation Fiscal Responsibility and Government Accountability Delivering a Strong Education for New Jersey Children Jobs, Opportunity, and Prosperity for All Affordable Healthcare: Addressing Washington’s Medicaid Cuts Driving New Jersey Forward: Economic Development and Innovation These reports provide an early roadmap for policy initiatives that may impact New Jersey’s business community in the months ahead. Notably, the Economic Development Action Team included several recommendations to support the business community, including efforts to modernize regulations and reduce red tape, expand access to economic development programs for small businesses, strengthen workforce pipelines aligned with industry needs, and support innovation.
