Air Force Dad to Honor Military Aboard Battleship New Jersey, Inspired by Daughter’s Home Care Journey

What:

Continuing its annual tradition in honor of the military community served by BAYADA Home Health Care and beyond, members of BAYADA’s Military Community (MILCOM) Employee Resource Council will lay a ceremonial wreath aboard the historic Battleship New Jersey. This symbolic tribute will then travel across the country to be placed aboard the Battleship Iowa in Los Angeles, linking two iconic ships and cities in a powerful gesture of remembrance and unity.

The wreath will be laid by the father of a 5-year-old pediatric client who, with the help of BAYADA has transitioned from relying on a ventilator to breathe, to walking, talking and thriving in the place she most wants to be: at home with her family. The child’s father, Chris VonDenes, is an active-duty member of the U.S. Air Force, making this moment especially meaningful.
