The Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) appreciates the opportunity to provide comments to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) on the Energy Master Plan (EMP) as a part of the public participation process. The CCSNJ commends Governor Murphy for his ambitious goals to achieve 100 percent clean energy in New Jersey by 2035 but continues to stress the importance of identifying the cost impacts of the plan’s implementation.

The Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) is honored to be included in today’s hearing on the state of the tourism industry in New Jersey. The CCSNJ is the largest and most influential business and community organization in the region with over 1,200 members, including approximately 150 nonprofit organizations. Given the organization’s footprint, which runs from Cape May County to Burlington County, the CCSNJ is well-positioned to speak about how the industry is faring in the southern portion of the state.

The Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) respectfully opposes S-1386 (Singleton), which would establish a system for portable benefits for workers who provide services to consumers through contracting agents.
