Legislature Passes Small Business Assistance

Legislative Updates General Business 220th Legislative Session
On March 25, the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly passed legislation aimed at providing support for small businesses.

Both the Senate and Assembly passed a package of bills that the CCSNJ was proud to support when heard in committee earlier this week. The bills appropriate federal funds to the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) to provide support to small and micro businesses, restaurants, childcare centers, arts & culture organizations, and food bank organizations. The bills now go to the Governor's desk for his signature.

The Assembly also passed a package of bills sponsored by Majority Leader Greenwald that would to assist “Main Street” businesses as they navigate how to safely operate during pandemic. The bills now move to the Senate.
