On August 11, the NJ Business Coalition, which the CCSNJ is a participant of, submitted to Governor Murphy theRecovery and Reinvention Framework 2.0. This comprehensive update to the original frameworkissued in early May strongly encourages a regional reopening of New Jersey’s economy, pointing to improved numbers in reported COVID-19 cases, decreased hospitalizations and greater capacity in the state’s healthcare facilities.
The Framework makes the case for reopening all of New Jersey’s businesses, and calls on the Governor to present plans for three scenarios with health-related triggers driving levels of reopening activity to allow businesses to properly plan for further reopening.
The New Jersey Business Coalition is a group of more than 100 major business and nonprofit associations representing employers that provide millions of jobs in New Jersey and looks forward to working with both the Administration and Legislature to continue the journey to economic recovery.
