Activate Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for First South Jersey Location in Cherry Hill

The CCSNJ is thrilled to welcome Activate, an interactive gaming facility, to Cherry Hill. Activate celebrated its official ribbon cutting with their General Manager, Tahai Exum and Cherry Hill Mayor, David Fleisher and in attendance. The event marked Activate’s first location in South Jersey and recognized the company’s decision to invest in our growing business community.
Activate has transformed a former Rite Aid at Route 38 and Chapel Avenue into a 14,700-square-foot, immersive entertainment complex featuring 13 interactive game rooms. Inside, colorful lights, lasers, and illuminated targets create a high-energy environment where players are challenged to think quickly and move fast.
Guests can throw balls at fast-changing targets, race across glowing floor patterns, dodge laser beams, and shoot basketballs under multi-colored lights. Each game is scored, allowing participants to track their performance and rank themselves against friends and other players who have taken on the same challenges.
The complex will also host birthday parties and team-building experiences for area businesses, according to Tahai Exum, general manager for the Cherry Hill location, making it a unique option for both recreation and corporate engagement. While reservations are encouraged, walk-in guests are welcome on a space-available basis.
The Cherry Hill site is expected to support nearly 25 jobs and adds to the area's reputation as a regional destination for innovative and growing businesses. Activate currently operates more than 60 locations worldwide, including over 40 in the United States, with a second New Jersey location in East Rutherford.
We are proud to support Activate as our community's newest addition and wish them continued success!
