Glassboro, N.J. (DECEMBER 7, 2022) – AKCG – Public Relations Counselors, a national strategic public relations firm located in Glassboro, N.J., received the coveted top honor “Best in Show” award at the Philadelphia Chapter of PRSA’s 54th Pepperpot Awards on December 6. The firm also earned five additional awards across various categories. The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) hosts this annual ceremony to recognize award-winning public relations campaigns and tactics across the Greater Philadelphia area.

In collaboration with its client Atlantic City Electric, AKCG earned “Best in Show” – the top prize of the awards program – for its Multicultural Communications entry, “That’s Smart: Inclusive Campaign to Advance Region’s Energy Infrastructure.” This public outreach effort is designed to educate Atlantic City Electric’s diverse customer base about the company’s Smart Energy Network and smart meters. This is AKCG’s fourth “Best in Show” honor over the last six years.

In addition, AKCG secured four first-place “Pepperpot” awards and one “Ladle” award recognition in several areas. AKCG earned a Pepperpot award in the categories of Special Purpose Publications, Research and Multicultural Communications for their work with Atlantic City Electric. AKCG also received a Pepperpot in the category of Annual Reports for their work with The Kendal Corporation. A Ladle award was presented in the category of Integrated Campaign for their work with Atlantic City Electric.
