Amazon Teaming Up with Jefferson Washington Township Hospital in South Jersey to Deliver 800 Meals to Frontline Healthcare Workers

Amazon Teaming Up with Jefferson Washington Township Hospital in South Jersey to Deliver 800 Meals to Frontline Healthcare Workers

West Deptford, NJ – Local Amazon employees in South Jersey are teaming up with Jefferson Washington Township Hospital to thank our frontline healthcare workers this week.

On Friday afternoon (February 4th), the team at Amazon’s West Deptford Fulfillment Center will load 800 meals in Amazon vans and deliver them to the frontline healthcare workers at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital. The meals provided by Amazon are being prepared by local South Jersey small business, Philadelphia Provisions.

“Our frontline healthcare workers – doctors, nurses, aides, support staff, and more – are heroes,” said Roberto Miller, Director of Operations at Amazon’s Fulfillment Center in West Deptford. “Our team at Amazon is grateful for everything our frontline health care workers have been through over the past two years, and we are honored to have the opportunity to show a small token of our gratitude.”

Jefferson Health – New Jersey President Brian Sweeney said the three-hospital South Jersey health system is very grateful to see its staff recognized by Amazon.

“All of our teams, both in our hospitals and our ambulatory locations, have worked tremendously hard since the start of the pandemic – and especially during the recent omicron surge – so it is very gratifying to see them rewarded as heroes by Amazon,” Sweeney said.

Media is invited to cover the delivery of these meals to our frontline health care workers.
