Bringing the News Home: TAPinto Partners with Nextdoor to Reach Local Readers
In a move that strengthens the reach of community journalism, TAPinto has announced a new partnership with Nextdoor, the neighborhood-focused social platform.
TAPinto's original, local stories will now be delivered directly to residents through the Nextdoor app.
This collaboration gives TAPinto’s readers an easy way to stay informed on news that matters most in their communities.
“Hyperlocal news is critical to the communities we serve. We are excited to partner with TAPinto, a leader in providing original, high-quality local news reporting for more than 150 towns in the United States," Nirav Tolia, CEO, President, Chairperson of the Board, and Co-Founder of Nextdoor, said in a statement to TAPinto. "TAPinto's business model empowers entrepreneurs to own and operate local news sites and helps fill news deserts — a solution that is making a positive difference.”
TAPinto is among the first wave of local news organizations selected to share content on Nextdoor. This partnership allows neighborhood users to seamlessly access stories from TAPinto within the Nextdoor app, reinforcing both platforms' shared mission to foster more informed and connected communities.
"We are excited to be chosen by Nextdoor to have our original local news reporting featured in the communities we serve," TAPinto Founder and CEO Michael Shapiro said.
Through its extensive network across New Jersey, New York, Florida and Pennsylvania, TAPinto delivers news and digital marketing services in more than 150 communities. It joins over 3,500 local publishers using Nextdoor to strengthen ties between local journalism and neighborhood engagement.
Together, TAPinto and Nextdoor are increasing their commitment to support and expand access to trustworthy, community-focused journalism.
