North Wildwood, New Jersey  April 15, 2021:  Chef Gus Zimmerman and partners Debbie and Paul Gioquindo bring Trio North Wildwood, An American Gastro Eatery to North Wildwood.  The Grand Opening is scheduled for Friday, May 14.

“Trio North Wildwood is an American Gastro Eatery that will specialize in serving high quality food, says Chef Gus Zimmerman. “filling the void between fine dining and bar fare. Guests can build their dinner from our small plate choices, or choose from our large plate section such as steak, pork chop, rotisserie duck, seafood or a combination of both.”

Gus brings decades of experience that began growing up on a 1,500-acre farm in Buckingham, Pa., his family’s backyard garden and pasture were his grocery store. “One of my fond memories was walking into the chicken coop, grabbing morning eggs and cooking up breakfast while standing on a milk crate to reach the stove.” Said Zimmerman. This is the foundation that brought him to the Raven in New Hope, PA, Chef at Morton’s the Steakhouse in Atlantic City, NJ and Executive Sous Chef at Bobby Flay Steak in Atlantic City, NJ.

Assisting Chef Gus in the kitchen is Griffin Boyle, a graduate of Johnson & Wales University Culinary Arts and Food Service Management program. Griffin has trained under James Beard Award winning Chef Tandy Wilson of City House and James Beard recognized Chef Phil Krajeck of Folk both located in Nashville, TN.

Trio North Wildwood is located in the newly-renovated former Amish Market at 700 New Jersey Avenue. Pivoting from the pandemic, the Gioquindos purchased the building in December 2020 after closing their restaurant, Kitchen 330, in Stone Harbor. “We discovered that to sustain our business and best serve our customers, we need to own our building,” said Debbie Gioquindo.

The building has been renovated without losing the initial footprint of the Amish Market. The restaurant features two open kitchens and two new tools for Chef, a smoker and rotisserie. Trio North Wildwood will be the perfect gathering place for any crowd with indoor capacity at 74 and outdoors at 32.

Trio North Wildwood is a BYOB establishment and an outlet for Dracaena Wines based in Paso Robles, California who hold a non New Jersey winery license. “Dracaena Wines is honored to be in this partnership with Trio North Wildwood,” says Lori Budd, Owner of Dracaena Wines. “Our wines have won multiple double gold medals as well as receiving consistent 90+ ratings in Wine Enthusiast. We are thrilled to have this opportunity to help turn Trio customers' moments into great memories.”

Trio North Wildwood will be open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner 5pm – 9:30pm. Reservations can be made on RESY.
