Death of the Fox Brewing Company has officially opened its newest location in Carney’s Point this April, The High Grounds Lounge Coffeehouse and Roastery!   This is the third coffee-focused concept from South Jersey owner Chuck Garrity.

Garrity also operates High Grounds in Glassboro as well as The Death of the Fox Craft Brewery and Coffeehouse in Clarksboro.  The new Salem County shop is located at 16 North Golfwood Ave in Carney's Point, just off Exit 4 of Route 295.  It is across the street from Roman’s Pantry grocery and sandwich shop and shares a building with The Frosted Nug Dispensary, which recently opened in 2025.  Customers will find delicious coffee made from beans roasted on-site, freshly prepared food (sandwiches, soups), unique wellness inspired drinks and more!   

Freshness is a major focus for High Grounds and each location roasts coffee beans in house, utilizing an air-roasting process designed to lock in flavor while avoiding the burnt taste sometimes associated with traditional roasting methods.

The cafe has a similar look and feel of Death of the Fox, a rustic live edge wood vibe with a splash of modern lounge flavor.   The High Grounds Lounge will be open every day from 7am-5pm.   It should also be noted that this is NOT a cannabis consumption lounge, although we are located next to one of the fastest growing dispensaries in the state of NJ, The Frosted Nug.  It is a separate space from the dispensary however, and we expect dispensary customers will appreciate the convenience of The Lounge.   Enjoy live music, pop-ups, and networking events- just like our other two locations.
