Dennis M. Tuohy, Jr., Esquire Appointed to NJSBA Environmental Law Section's Board of Directors

Marlton, NJ (July 16, 2026)
Hyland Levin Shapiro is pleased to announce that Dennis M. Tuohy Jr., an associate in the firm's Zoning & Land Use Department, has been appointed to the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Environmental Law Section's Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 term.
The NJSBA Environmental Law Section brings together attorneys from across the state to promote the effective practice of environmental law through continuing legal education, professional development, and collaboration.
Dennis focuses his practice on zoning and land use, commercial, and real estate matters, advising developers and property owners on land use approvals, redevelopment projects, environmental compliance, site remediation, and related regulatory issues. He works closely with clients to help them navigate New Jersey's complex regulatory landscape and move projects forward efficiently.
His interest in environmental law began long before his legal career. A lifelong resident of the South Jersey coast, Dennis developed a deep appreciation for the environmental issues affecting New Jersey's coastal communities. That interest continued through an environmental law clinic during law school and a clerkship with the Honorable Michael J. Blee, Assignment Judge of Vicinage I, where he gained valuable experience with matters involving the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
In addition to his legal practice, Dennis is actively engaged in the legal community. He serves as a trustee of the Atlantic County Bar Association after previously serving as chair of its Young Lawyers Division, and he is a member of the Supreme Court of New Jersey District I Ethics Committee.
Dennis' appointment to the NJSBA Environmental Law Section's Board of Directors reflects both his dedication to the practice of environmental law and his ongoing commitment to supporting New Jersey's legal community.
