Washington Township, NJ, December 14, 2021 - First Harvest Credit Union, formerly South Jersey Federal Credit Union, recently deepened its commitment to the health and wellness of the community, with a gift of $25,000 to support patients of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center - Washington Township. Presented to the Jefferson Health Foundation - New Jersey, this generous donation will be used to offset transportation expenses for cancer patients.
“Any interruption in care can have a severe, negative impact on our patients' ability to battle their disease,” said Larry Slagle, MBA, Associate Vice President, Jefferson Health Foundation – New Jersey. “We are so grateful for benefactors like First Harvest Credit Union, which have made a huge difference in our patients’ lives by helping remove these types of barriers so they can focus on their treatment.”
First Harvest Credit Union, under the leadership of President & CEO Ernest Huggard, has supported Jefferson Health - New Jersey since 2014, and chose Jefferson for this generous donation to help fulfill its impact-driven mission of supporting organizations that have a positive impact on the communities they serve.
“First Harvest Credit Union is committed to supporting organizations like Jefferson Health, which make a difference in our communities every day,” said Huggard. “For patients facing a cancer diagnosis, transportation to and from treatment should not be a concern or an obstacle.
