Golf Fore Kids Helps Open More Doors to Great Futures
The 15th annual Golf Fore Kids Tournament, held on September 29 at the Atlantic City Country Club, brought together community leaders, sponsors, and golf enthusiasts, netting $70,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. The event, presented by South Jersey Gas, continues to be a crucial fundraiser, helping to sustain the Club's transformative programs for children and teens in the region.
“Behind the Blue Door at the Boys & Girls Club, lives are being changed every single day,” said Tracey Triniwell, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. “This tournament allows us to continue offering the safe spaces, supportive mentors, and essential programs that empower our members to reach their greatest potential.”
Golfers enjoyed a day on one of America’s oldest and most prestigious courses, complete with contests, a silent auction, prizes, and a premier swag bag. There was a hole-in-one contest sponsored by Chapman Auto Group (Ford, Mazda, Lincoln). Following play, golfers enjoyed a cocktail reception and an awards dinner.
As part of its ongoing partnership with the Boys & Girls Club, the Atlantic City Country Club also provides golf lessons for Club members -- introducing young people to the sport and encouraging confidence both on and off the course.
That spirit of community carried through to the tournament’s competition, where top honors at this year’s Golf Fore Kids Tournament went to the team from Herman Goldner Co., Inc. -- Greg Graziano, Russell Short, Al Parker, and Justin Cohen -- who claimed first place overall. Individual accolades included Andrew Borowski for Closest to the Pin, Bernadette Cummings for Longest Drive (Women), and Carson Sevigny for Longest Drive (Men).
The funds raised will support the Boys & Girls Club’s Health and Well-being programs, including nutrition education, mental health supports through Family Empowerment Associates, and physical fitness programming that strengthen healthy habits from a young age.
