LAN Associates is excited to announce the appointment of four new Assistant Vice Presidents. Architects Matthew Fink and Jeff Potter, Construction Administrator David Pereira, and the head of LAN’s Accounting Department, Marion Bryden, have all joined LAN’s leadership team.

Founded in 1965, LAN Associates has provided architecture and engineering services in New York, New Jersey, and the surrounding Tri-State area for over half a century. Over the past decade, the firm has expanded rapidly, more than doubling in size in terms of revenue and number of employees. LAN President Thomas Wighard attributes the company’s success to the talent, leadership, and hard work of team members like the newly appointed Assistant Vice Presidents.

As the head of LAN’s Accounting Department, Marion Bryden has a far-reaching impact on LAN’s business operations. She has been with LAN since 2010, joining the team after working in the wholesale giftware industry doing corporate income tax compliance. Marion not only manages and leads a whole department, overseeing every aspect of LAN’s accounting operation, but she has also been the driving force behind LAN’s adoption of new technology and processes. Most recently, she led the efforts to implement LAN’s new Enterprise Resource Planning system, which her department maintains.

Starting his career as an intern with LAN Associates, Matthew Fink has been with the firm for over 15 years. He is a creative leader in LAN’s Midland Park architecture team, and his body of work includes a diverse set of award-winning projects, including educational, municipal, recreational, theme parks, and faith-based facilities. Matthew holds dual certification as an Architect and Interior Designer, and his contribution to LAN Associates includes department management, client acquisition, client retention, and using his creative mindset and technical knowledge to bring projects and early visions to successful completion.

David Pereira brings over 20 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries to his role as a construction administrator. His work includes leading efforts for the review of shop drawings and submittals and overseeing the construction coordination process on major LAN projects. David aims to ensure projects are constructed on time and on budget.  Throughout the construction process, his vital work includes maintaining strong relationships with clients, design team members, consultants, and contractors to ensure projects run smoothly from contract award through the project closeout phase.

Jeff Potter joined LAN Associates in 2020 and quickly became instrumental to both LAN’s Southern New Jersey Architecture office in Voorhees, New Jersey, and the company as a whole. Jeff has over 20 years of experience and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He strives to foster enjoyable and productive client relationships through collaboration, from project concept design to construction administration and occupancy. Jeff plays a central role in the leadership of LAN’s Southern New Jersey operations and has made major contributions to the design and passage of a number of significant school bond referendums spearheaded by LAN’s Voorhees office.  

Matthew, Jeff, David, and Marion’s promotions solidify vital leadership roles within the company and will help LAN build our current momentum while ensuring that we continue to provide top-level services to our valued clients.
