LAN Expands Services with The Hiring of New Lead Interior Designer

LAN Associates is pleased to announce our latest strategic hire, Senior Interior Designer Sun Ju Valenta. Sun Ju’s addition to the team comes as LAN is diversifying our portfolio and taking on new projects that require dedicated interior design.  The move brings interior design services in-house at LAN’s headquarters in Midland Park, New Jersey.

Sun Ju is a creative designer with over 25 years of experience. In conjunction with the New Jersey architecture department, which has been under the new leadership of Matthew Wolfe since 2019, Sun Ju will further LAN’s recent expanding presence in the commercial, residential, and hospitality sectors. Throughout her career, Sun Ju specialized in serving these markets both domestically and internationally.

“Sun Ju is a great addition to our firm and has joined the team at a pivotal time for LAN Associates,” said Assistant Vice President Matt Wolfe, who leads LAN’s NJ architecture department. “As we expand into new markets, her expertise will be vital to offering a full-service experience for our clients. Her innovative and artistic eye towards design is the perfect complement to our architectural department’s work.” 

Prior to joining LAN, Valenta was already a respected designer who worked in both private practice at her own firm, and on staff at major design firms including Gensler Associates, Swanke Hayden Connell, Inarch and Min Associates. She holds a National Certificate of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate.

I look forward to contributing my interior design expertise to multi-discipline projects across a wide spectrum of markets.” 

Since joining LAN, Sun Ju has already made a name for herself winning projects, guiding design concepts, and helping clients reopen their facilities safely post COVID-19.

Sun Ju’s addition to LAN adds a new layer to LAN’s full-service capabilities and further ensures our firm can offer a fully integrated solution.  She joins LAN’s extensive team of nearly 100 architects, engineers, environmental scientists, land use professionals, and surveyors.
