Lisa Morina has been promoted to senior vice president and chief philanthropy officer of the Cooper Foundation, the organization announced Monday.

Morina, a business executive with more than 20 years of experience in health care, government and community outreach, joined Cooper from the Jefferson Health executive team in 2023 in the role of vice president of advancement for corporate relations.

Cooper Foundation Board Chair Philip Norcross said Morina has been a star ever since.

“In the past year, Lisa has built strong relationships with our supporters and has demonstrated outstanding leadership. We know that Lisa will excel in this new role as she leads our seasoned team of fundraising professionals as Cooper grows and expands as a leading academic health system in the region,” he said.

Kevin O’Dowd, co-CEO of Cooper University Health Care, also offered applause.

“Lisa is a strong leader and a skilled executive who will drive the Cooper Foundation forward to great success in the years to come,” he said. “We are very fortunate to have Lisa on the Cooper team.”

Previously, Morina was director of economic and business development for the Gloucester County government, responsible for business growth, cultivating job creation and retention, tourism, block grants, and workforce development activities among other duties.

A graduate of Rowan University, Morina has a master’s degree in organization leadership from Cabrini College. She is a board member of Acenda Integrated Health, a behavioral health and community-based social services agency, the First Harvest Credit Union, KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy and the Southern NJ Development Council. She also served on the government relations and policy development committees at the New Jersey Hospital Association and the NJHA HealthPAC board.
