Samaritan Offers Free Will, Tax & Estate Planning Workshop

Your last will and testament is the cornerstone of your estate plan. Without it, important decisions – including gifting of assets and heirlooms, guardianship, and your executor – will be out of your hands and decided by existing laws, or in court. If you already have a will, remember that certain life events – including the birth of a child or grandchild, your or your child’s marriage or divorce, the passing of a spouse or heir, the purchase or sale of a home or business, or an inheritance – are all reasons to revisit and update your will and estate plan.

To learn more about the importance of your will, explore other tax saving and estate planning options or get your questions answered by professionals, Samaritan is offering two FREE Will, Tax & Estate Planning Workshops in September 2024:

  • In-person workshop – Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at The Samaritan Center at Voorhees (265 S. Route 73, Voorhees, NJ 08043)
  • Virtual workshop – Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 5:30-7:00 p.m.

“At Samaritan, we understand that healthcare and estate planning can be very overwhelming. However, we also know that creating and updating your will and estate plan is a crucial step in preparing for the unexpected and your future,” said Chris Rollins, chief development officer for Samaritan. “These workshops provide participants with the exclusive opportunity to ask questions and have conversations with local, highly regarded estate planning attorneys, so that individuals can plan and make informed decisions about their future.”

This year’s workshops are hosted by Samaritan’s Planned Giving Committee, which is comprised of some of the region’s leading financial advisors who volunteer their time and expertise to raise awareness about the potential advantages of charitable estate planning. This year’s workshop panelists include:

  • Melissa Osorio Dibble, Esq., Partner, Archer – A graduate of Rutgers University School of Law-Camden, Melissa serves as a partner at Archer and is the current president of the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Southern New Jersey.
