Stephanie J. Zane Named Chair of Family Law Group at Archer
Archer partner Stephanie J. Zane has been named the new Chair of Archer’s Family Law Group. Stephanie brings 20 years of experience in matrimonial law and family law matters to this position and remains one of the foremost practitioners of family law in the state of New Jersey. She focuses her practice on complex matrimonial litigation and represents clients in all aspects of divorce, custody, child support and related issues, and domestic violence litigation. Stephanie succeeds Archer partner William J. Thompson in this role.
Commenting on her new role, Stephanie said, “I am excited to be named as the first female Department Chair. Having been with Archer for almost 20 years, I have had the privilege of learning from and practicing with some of the best lawyers in the area. Active in the legal community, Stephanie is known for her dedication and years of experience to the practice of family law. Stephanie is the President of the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law American Inn of Court, where she has been a Master member and an Executive Committee member for more than ten years. In addition to her role with the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law American Inn of Court, Stephanie continues to serve as a Trustee on the National Board of Trustees of the American Inns of Court, having previously served as National Treasurer and Chair of the Program Awards Committee. Stephanie is the first person from New Jersey to ever serve in these roles. Stephanie also holds memberships in the Camden County, Gloucester County, Burlington County and New Jersey Bar Associations.
Stephanie has also served four 3-year terms as a member of the State of New Jersey Committee on Character, appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. In addition to her practice and legal community-based appointments, Stephanie is involved in multiple community-based organizations. She has served as the Chairperson of the Cooper Hospital Patient and Family Advisory Committee, and continues to serve on the Board of the Cherry Hill Association of Pools, as president of the Fox Hollow Swim Cub and on the Parent Committee at South Jersey Aquatic Center.
Stephanie earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School ‒ Camden and her B.S. from St. Joseph’s University. Following law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Angelo DiCamillo, J.T.C. t/a.
