Steven J. Lewis joins Cooper Levenson as Partner in Workers’ Compensation Practice

Steven J. Lewis has joined Cooper Levenson as a partner in the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Group, bringing more than 20 years of experience representing employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters.
Lewis has devoted his practice exclusively to workers’ compensation defense in New Jersey for the past two decades. He represents local and national employers across a broad range of industries and handles all phases of workers’ compensation litigation.
Most recently, Lewis served as a partner at a multidisciplinary law firm with a regional footprint across the Eastern United States, where he practiced workers’ compensation defense on behalf of employers and insurance interests. Earlier in his career, he practiced as an associate at a large regional defense firm as part of a statewide workers’ compensation defense practice. He also spent seven years as staff counsel for a large national insurance company, where he represented employers throughout New Jersey in workers’ compensation matters.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law. Lewis is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
A lifelong New Jersey resident, Lewis lives in Mullica Hill with his wife and daughter.
