Stockton University renews and expands transfer agreement with Brookdale Community College
Stockton University and Brookdale Community College have renewed and expanded their Transfer Pathways program, continuing a partnership that has provided a seamless transition for students since 2018.
The updated agreement now offers new opportunities, including access to Stockton’s unique summer program in Atlantic City.
The renewed partnership allows students who successfully complete their associate degree at Brookdale to automatically transfer to Stockton with junior standing. Application fees will be waived for eligible students. A key new feature of the agreement allows Brookdale students who have completed at least two semesters to participate in Stockton’s Live-Work-Learn Atlantic City Summer Experience, where partner employers cover the cost of student housing.
Brookdale President David Stout, a Stockton alumnus, stated that the partnership “opens doors for our students by creating seamless pathways that lower costs, shorten time to degree and provide unique hands-on learning experiences.”
Stockton President Joe Bertolino highlighted the benefit of the Live-Work-Learn program, noting that it allows Brookdale students to have a closer relationship with Stockton even before they officially transfer. The agreement also includes joint advising, scholarships for Brookdale graduates, and the option for conditional dual admission.
This renewed agreement is part of a broader initiative by Stockton University, which holds similar transfer partnerships with 12 of New Jersey’s community colleges.
