The Mews at Laurel Creek Holds 6th Annual Toy Drive to Benefit Children of MEND Holiday Fund

Member Announcements

This holiday season, residents and social committee members of The Mews at Laurel Creek, Joanie Perry, Lynn Morsell and Nancy DiNubile, have once again organized a toy drive to spread holiday cheer for the children and families of Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development (MEND). The toy drive collected 150 gifts, along with stocking stuffers and over $575 worth of monetary donations and gift cards – all to benefit the Children of MEND Holiday Fund.

“For six consecutive years, the Mews at Laurel Creek community has come together to ensure the children in our MEND housing sites have a memorable holiday,” said Eileen Wirth, MEND’s President and CEO. “We’re so grateful – this is the true spirit of the holidays!”

Perry and Morsell spearheaded this drive in 2018 and hope to continue this initiative for many more years to come.

“The social committee and the community look forward to the toy drive all year long,” said Perry. “The generosity and the efforts of our residents really help make this toy drive so successful. We’re already looking forward to continuing this tradition for our seventh year, to ensure a joyful holiday for all the families at MEND!”
