Tracey Triniwell Honored for Youth Impact at NAACP Annual Freedom Fund Gala
The NAACP Atlantic City Branch honored Tracey Triniwell, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City, with the 2025 Freedom Fund Gala Award for Youth Impact. The award was presented during the Annual Freedom Fund Gala, held on April 26, 2025, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The Freedom Fund Gala is the NAACP's signature annual event, celebrating community champions who drive progress, equity, and opportunity.
“Tracey's unwavering commitment to our youth and her passion for community upliftment embody the spirit of the Freedom Fund Gala,” said Kaleem Shabazz, President, Atlantic City NAACP. “We are honored to recognize her extraordinary contributions and her lasting impact on the lives of so many.”
In her acceptance speech, Triniwell shared the deep personal meaning of the recognition. “To be acknowledged by an organization with such a profound legacy of justice and change is both a personal honor and a powerful reminder of the responsibility we each carry—to lift as we climb,” she said.
A proud Atlantic City native, Triniwell credits her community and family with instilling the values of resilience, perseverance, and purpose that continue to guide her leadership today. At the helm of the Boys & Girls Club, she has championed programs that promote academic success, career readiness, and holistic development for young people throughout the region.
“This award may bear my name,” she noted, “but it belongs to the young people who inspire me every day—the dreamers, the doers, and the future leaders of this great community.” Her remarks reflected a passionate belief in the potential of today’s youth. “Our youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are the leaders of today,” she said. “When we create opportunities for young people to thrive, we’re not just changing individual lives—we’re transforming communities.”
