United Way of Gloucester County Announces 2025 Campaign Leadership
Karen Greene and Tara Levitt to Serve as Campaign Chair and Vice Chair
(Gloucester County, NJ – September 2025) – The United Way of Gloucester County (UWGC) proudly announces the leadership team for its 2025 Annual Fundraising Campaign, themed “Because of You.” This year, Karen Greene will serve as Campaign Chair, joined by Tara Levitt as Campaign Vice Chair.
Karen Greene, a UWGC Board Member, longtime donor, and dedicated volunteer, brings decades of community service and leadership to this role. A finance professional who retired as Chief Audit Executive from Cencora Corporation (formerly AmerisourceBergen Corporation) after 31 years of service, Greene has consistently championed the mission of UWGC to improve lives and strengthen the Gloucester County community.
“I have had the pleasure of working with the United Way of Gloucester County, New Jersey for over twenty years. I have served on the Campaign Cabinet, the Board of Directors, and have sponsored campaigns in my workplace. This year I am honored to serve as the 2025 Campaign Chair as the United Way continues to support, partner, and strengthen the Gloucester County community,” said Karen Greene.
Joining her as Vice Chair is fellow Board Member Tara Levitt, an employee of GGB, a Timken Company. Levitt brings energy, corporate engagement expertise, and a deep commitment to community impact, making her an ideal partner in leading this year’s campaign.
“Our theme this year, ‘Because of You,’ highlights the power of individuals, businesses, and organizations coming together to create lasting change,” said Michael Gower, Executive Director of UWGC. “We are thrilled to have Karen and Tara leading the charge. Their passion, dedication, and leadership will inspire others to give, advocate, and volunteer for the causes that matter most to our community.”
Funds raised during the 2025 campaign will support critical programs and initiatives across Gloucester County, including education, financial stability, health services, and basic needs assistance for families.
The campaign officially kicks off this fall, with opportunities for local businesses, community groups, and residents to get involved.
