$20M Manufacturers Voucher Program will offer grants of up to $250K
Last week Governor Murphy announced the creation of the New Jersey Manufacturers Voucher Program, a $20 million pilot program run through the New Jersey Economic Development Authority that could provide up to $250,000 in grants to manufacturers in targeted industries to use toward updating their equipment.
The application portal will likely be open by the end of the year and applications will be taken on a rolling basis until all the money is allocated. Bonuses will be offered to companies that are women, veteran, and minority-owned, located in Opportunity Zones, purchase equipment from NJ businesses, or have at least one collective bargaining agreement in place.
All size manufacturing businesses may apply, yet higher percentages will be awarded to small businesses with fewer than 100 full-time employees.
