Applications are now open for the second round of Press Forward New Jersey’s South Jersey Initiative, a funding opportunity designed to strengthen local news and information in underserved communities across South Jersey. This open call is in partnership with the Community Foundation of South Jersey.

Following a successful inaugural round that invested $345,000 in organizations serving the region, Press Forward New Jersey is once again seeking proposals from community-rooted news and information providers working in:

• Atlantic County
• Burlington County
• Camden County
• Cape May County
• Cumberland County
• Gloucester County
• Ocean County
• Salem County

Most grants will range from $15,000–$50,000 and may support newsroom operations, staffing, infrastructure, revenue development, technology, and other efforts that strengthen access to trusted local information.

We are particularly interested in organizations serving communities that have historically lacked consistent access to local news and civic information.
