The Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) would like to voice our support for the

following bills being considered:

  • A-573/S-3014 (Karabinchak/Freiman/Calabrese/Scutari/Diegnan) - Provides for expedited construction inspections.
  • A-4790/S-3344 (Coughlin/McKnight/Karabinchak/Scutari/Diegnan) - Establishes NJ Non-Profit Loan Guarantee Pilot Program within EDA.
  • S-3124 (Diegnan) - Changes definition of eligible contract for DOT grant program to compensate certain contractors and subcontractors affected by supply chain shortages.
  • S-3342 (Beach/Turner) - Appropriates $17,288,315 from constitutionally dedicated CBT revenues to NJ Historic Trust for grants for certain historic preservation projects and associated administrative expenses.
  • S-3348 (Sarlo/Scutari) - Allows for eligible organizations to use large entertainment venues to conduct raffles in certain municipalities.
  • S-3361 (Smith/Stanfield) - Appropriates $64.929 million from constitutionally dedicated CBT revenues for recreation and conservation purposes to DEP for State capital and park development projects.
  • S-3362 (Greenstein/Codey) - Appropriates $53,249,310 from constitutionally dedicated CBT revenues to DEP for State acquisition of lands for recreation and conservation purposes, including Blue Acres projects, and Green Acres Program administrative costs.
  • S-3379 (Ruiz) - Extends certain accommodations implemented during COVID-19 public health emergency for businesses participating in State economic development programs.
  • SCR112 (Johnson/Pou) - Reconstitutes "Joint Committee on Economic Justice and Equal Employment Opportunity."

However the CCSNJ would like to respectfully oppose:

  • S-1439 (Singleton) - Requires employer or contractor engaged in government construction work to register with and submit payroll records to DOLWD.
