Administrative Assistant


Posting Summary: 

Rutgers University-Camden is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Division of Finance and Administration. The Administrative Assistant will report to the Director of Operations and provide essential administrative, operational, and creative support to the division. This position ensures effective day-to-day administrative functioning, supports the division’s leadership team, and contributes to key strategic projects internal communications, creative content production, and process improvement initiatives.

Minimum Education & Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 


Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
Experience in higher education or complex organizational settings. Familiarity with systems such as KUALI, Concur, or similar administrative platforms. Knowledge of digital content tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or CMS platforms).


Equipment Utilized: 

Computers, printers, copiers, audiovisual equipment. Software: Microsoft Office Suite, Concur, KUALI, content management systems. 


Physical Demands & Work Environment: 

Standard office environment. May occasionally lift materials or set up for events. Must be able to sit for extended periods and manage screen time.
