Overview
Description
The CARE Navigator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Outpatient Division. The Care Navigator ensures efficient scheduling, accurate money handling, and effective communication across assigned sites and programs. This role serves as Safety Officer for the division and provides clerical and operational support to Access functions. The Care Navigator contributes to the smooth daily operation of outpatient programs, supporting both clinical and administrative leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for clinical, medical, and administrative staff
Managing client co-pays, payments, and program revenue tracking; maintaining accurate records for fiscal reporting
Serving as site Safety Officer, ensuring safety drills, inspections, logs, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Supporting Access operations, including live call coverage, intake scheduling, and referral coordination
Greeting and assisting clients, families, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
Preparing and maintaining records, correspondence, reports, and other program documentation
Performing clerical duties such as filing, scanning, scheduling, supply management, and data entry into the electronic health record (EHR) and other reporting systems
Providing administrative support to program leadership as assigned
The Care Navigator plays an essential role in ensuring the Outpatient Division operates efficiently, maintains compliance, and delivers services effectively.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree or prior administrative experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with scheduling systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and EHR software
- Accuracy in money handling and financial tracking
- Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information
- Valid driver’s license if duties require travel between sites
