Minimum Education & Experience:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in counseling, educational psychology, social work, human resources or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of two years of experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of career counseling theories and methodologies for individuals and groups.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in counseling, educational psychology, social work, human resources or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of two years of experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of career counseling theories and methodologies for individuals and groups. Excellent computer literacy, interpersonal, oral, written and editing communication skills are also required.
Must have the appropriate qualifying education and/or experience to administer and interpret career assessment instruments i.e. Strong Inventory etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in counseling, social work, human resources or related discipline preferred.
Equipment Utilized:
This position requires excellent technical skills with the knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms, career development software, and knowledge of other online assessments, including the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs online assessments. Incumbent will become familiar and comfortable with using all facets of the Handshake System.
