Job Details
Crisis Response Specialists will be responsible for evaluating consumers and deciding if additional psychological, psychiatric, or clinical services are needed. If this is the case, the Crisis Response Specialist will be responsible for activating the on-call Master’s Level Clinician for additional support. Crisis Response Specialists must be able to demonstrate competency in culturally appropriate care, trauma informed care, de-escalation techniques, suicide assessment, and safety planning prior to rendering services independently.
The 988 Program provides 24/7 mobile community outreach services to adults in crisis, including mental health, substance use, and suicidal emergencies. Staff dispatch to crises in teams of two, with a Crisis Response Specialist and a Peer Support Specialist, to provide assessment, risk assessment, safety planning, linkage to services, and follow-up care. The Program aims to provide crisis de-escalation without use of law enforcement unless necessary for consumer or team safety.
Hours:
Part time; various shifts

Education/Experience:
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a mental health related field from an accredited institution plus two years post Bachelor's professional experience. Crisis Response Specialists may also possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any field from an accredited institution but will need three years’ post Bachelor’s professional experience in a
mental health field.
Your driver's license must be in good standing, with no recent suspensions or violations of careless/reckless driving or excessive speeding of more than 20 MPH, and no more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years.
