In this position you will be working to schedule and pick-up donations to our Thrift Store from private homes and businesses. Must be able to operate a box truck and have a valid NJ Driver License. This will also include assistance in moving and displaying store inventory, lawn maintenance, custodial work and assisting customers. Must have excellent judgement, organizational skills and the ability to work well independently.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Operate a large box truck in a safe and responsible manner

· Pick up donated items for resale in the store

· Assist in scheduling pick ups

· Deliver donated items to store or warehouse

· Accurately complete required paperwork to acknowledge receipt of donated items

· Forward paperwork to Manager for review

· Provide job training to Ranch Hope youth

· Maintain youth in line of sight while interacting with donors

· Assist manager as needed with the operation of the store

· Assist customers with inquiries

· Operate cash register as needed

· Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving customer complaints

· Report any unsafe conditions or vehicle concerns to supervisor

Education & Professional Experience:

· High School diploma or GED required

· Two years experience driving a large vehicle preferred

· Experience in a thrift, consignment or retail store preferred but not required.

Certifications/Licenses Required:

• NJ Driver License
• CDL preferred

• Hearing and speaking to exchange information

• Dexterity of the hands and fingers and feet to operate a box truck
• Kneeling and bending for short periods of time
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds
• Walking, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, bending over at the waist, grasping, reaching overhead, pulling and pushing as required by the job

Ability to physically restrain a youth that is a danger to self or others
