Posting Summary: 

Rutgers University-Camden is in search of a Director for Research who will report directly to the Vice Chancellor for Research. This role involves promoting research initiatives among the faculty and students at Rutgers University-Camden, with a focus on enhancing funding opportunities. . The Director will strengthen the relationships within units at Rutgers University – Camden, with other units across the Rutgers University system, and with other institutions and organizations, such as Rowan University and the joint Rutgers-Rowan board. This position will serve as a primary point of contact for local, state, and federal funding agencies. 


Minimum Education & Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.  The incumbent is required 5 years of experience in research development and administration at major universities and/or research centers.  


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

Master's degree, preferably in a scientific discipline, or an equivalent combination of B.A. or BS degree with documented experience; strong writing. interpersonal, and organizational skills; at least three years of combined experience in writing and facilitating submission of grant proposals.


Equipment Utilized: 

Software: Microsoft Office, RAPSS – HURON Click Commerce, PIVOT.
