Director of Residential Services

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Residential Services is responsible for the oversight and compliance of all 21 Plus residential programs with agency, state, federal, and Medicaid regulations. They will be providing guidance and leadership to direct reports by promoting professional growth, and ensuring fiscal and program services goals are achieved according to agency, DDD and OLI, policies, practices and procedures. The Director of Residential Services reports to the Executive Director. (Ocean County, NJ, Toms River, NJ, Area)

Director of Residential Services Responsibilities:

1. Insures efficient and effective operation of 21 Plus, Inc. residential programs.

2. Directly supervises residential programs.

3. Directly supervises residential SPAs, Behavior Specialist, BCBA, MCM(s), and the Operations Administrator.

4. Performs various administrative duties.

5. Ensures compliance with all aspects of state inspections with various departments, including but not limited to, Office of Licensing Inspection (OLI), Provider Performance Monitoring Unit (PPMU), Critical Incident Monitoring Unit (CIMU), Special Response Unit (SRU).

6. Assumes responsibility for providing maximum quality of client residential services.

7. Works collaboratively with the Executive Director, Director of Finance, Director of Quality Management, and Director of Human Resources.

a. Participates in meetings with Executive Directive on a bi weekly basis.

b. Participates in Director Meetings on a bi weekly basis.

8. Responsible for ensuring that the agency is running at maximum capacity.

9. Fills in for the Executive Director on a limited basis, as requested.

10. Cooperates with all investigations and inspections.

11. Cooperates fully with DHS and any other regulatory body.

12. Promotes the community image of 21 Plus, Inc.

Director of Residential Services Qualifications:

· Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid NJ Driver’s License with an acceptable record of safe driving

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, Master’s preferred

· Five (5) years’ experience in a DDD funded program including three (3) years supervisory experience preferable in managing middle management staff.

· Experience and knowledge of preparing and working within budget limits and framework.

· Strong understanding of regulatory compliance.

· Excellent computer skills

· Must be an innovative problem solver with excellent oral, writing and organizational skills.

· Must be a strong advocate for the individuals served by 21 Plus.

· Demonstrates an understanding of the Agency’s philosophy and mission statement.

· Excellent verbal and writing skills.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating inter-program communication.
