Estimator
Job Summary: Under the general direction of the BTP Estimating Manager, the Estimator is responsible to provide prompt, professional communications to both internal and external customers with the objective of assisting BLUSA to meet our delivery and quality initiatives in a diverse manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions
- Prepares work to be quoted by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
- Identifies labor, material, time requirements and costs by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- All other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
- 10 or more years’ experience estimating in mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing environment
- Min 5 years’ experience in machining and fabrication.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for shaping metal is a plus
- Understanding properties of various metals used in production
- Demonstrated technical skills and knowledge of fixtures and/or assemblies.
- Must be mechanically inclined and have an aptitude for numbers
- Capable use of Microsoft Office program (Excel) and ERP/MRP programs

PAYRATE/SALARY: $DOE
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: FULL-TIME
SCHEDULE: MON-FRI: 8:00-5:00; ½ HR UNPAID LUNCH
