Minimum Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required, plus an additional two or more years of direct experience in higher education in Housing and/or Residence Life programs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree required, plus an additional two or more years of direct experience in higher education in Housing and/or Residence Life programs.
- Working knowledge of student development theories and practices required.
- Must have the ability to multi-task, be organized, and make decisions quickly with accuracy and quality.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- An accumulation of residence life or student affairs/services experience and training can be substituted for the master’s degree.
- Experience with mediation and conflict resolution protocols preferred.
Equipment Utilized:
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Because duties are carried out in at least 3 separate buildings, the ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time is necessary. The campus is in an urban environment. Comfort with navigating and living in an urban city environment is necessary. Required to participate in the on-call rotation for critical incident response in the residential halls.
