- A commitment to pass the CPA exam
- Enthusiasm for new knowledge and non-stop learning

- Are prepared to focus, work hard and take ownership of his or her work, especially during tax season

- Are punctual in both one’s daily schedule and in delivering quality work

Qualified candidates:
- Have completed their Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Plan to pursue CPA exam and license
- Have completed or are pursuing additional credit hours as required by the CPA exam process
- Internship or prior tax, accounting, bookkeeping, or banking experience is a plus
- Have excellent communication and organization skills, are highly-motivated and eager to learn, can successfully multi-task, and are willing to work in a team atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- 35-hour workweek outside of tax season; Additional hours required from February 1 through April 15.
- Tasks may include organization of tax information, preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses; workpapers and financial statements; assisting with tax notices and projects; bookkeeping tasks and department assistance
- Ability to apply general knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles to client engagements
- Take accountability and responsibility for quality work
- Meet annual Continued Professional Education (CPE) requirements
- Business development and personal growth expectations
- Respond promptly to team members and clients to uphold the Alloy Silverstein client service experience
